Retired animations (or "rare" animations), much similar Retired Clothing, are animations that are no longer obtainable.

There has been no given reason for the removal of these animations. But, it is theorised to be due to being gory, fierce, inappropriate, added for a specific holiday/rare week or being too outdated. MovieStarPlanet was previously owned past Drawing Network^{[citation needed]}, but a new company (now known as MovieStarPlanet ApS) bought it and removed animations that were deemed inappropriate.

Retired animations take sometimes been reintroduced back into the store during Rare Week, although it is unclear what the criteria are for bringing a certain animation back. Inappropriate animations have not been reintroduced.

History of retired animations

Some animations that were introduced in early days of MovieStarPlanet were removed from the Store. These animations were believed to be removed due to them being inappropriate.
